Due to our annual summer dates with Des Was a Bowie Fan, through the coming months we are reducing our regular club output at our Building Society discotheque in Treorchy, reverting from a weekly to near-monthly program of nights. However! On the weekends where we are in the valley, it makes sense to give the chance for a few concept nights to happen.
Here we go then with a few all-ticketed ones (listed below) for you to browse through. If there are any you are interested in coming to / can make it out to, please grab a ticket on your preferred night to give them the best chance of going ahead.
Due to the expectations of a walk-up crowd to hear familiar tunes, there will be no admission at the door on the nights (aside from friends of ticket buyers). And if not enough tickets are sold, the nights will be cancelled, with tickets buyers refunded. There is also the chance to choose whether these nights take place on a Saturday or a Sunday by buying a ticket for your preferred night.
A New Music Showcase
Tickets: Saturday July 5th / Sunday July 6th
A night of new, rarely heard and not necessarily known underground / independent music.
Any Other City
Tickets: Saturday July 19th / Sunday July 20th
A night of post-punk music, indie jangle and classics from the “outside of everything”.
Just Like Heaven
Tickets: Saturday August 9th / Sunday August 10th
A night of goth / industrial music, witch-house and dreampop.
The Rhondda Valley Northern Soul Club
Tickets: Saturday September 13th / Sunday September 14th
The quintessential underground collector’s music – Northern Soul – and a whole night dedicated to it, from the obscure edges to the heavy-beating heart.
